1Sky's ad on TV during the debates--we're halfway there!

In just over 12 hours, concerned climate activists like you have donated over $10,000 of the $20,000 we need to show the 1Sky ad during coverage of tonight's debate. Thanks to all of you who contributed and helped spread the word! The 30-second video created by Nikos Spiridakis, a ten-year-old filmmaker and climate activist, reveals a common fear for all of us: What will our future look like if we don't act now (see embeded video below).

We're already halfway there—the ad will air tonight in selected markets on CNN and MSNBC—but we still need your help. Make a contribution now to help make our voices heard. We're at a critical time when we need to ensure both presidential candidates and the American public understand the importance of climate change. You can help us put climate change at the center of the presidential campaign and move people to demand bold climate action.

September 27 and 28 was a wonderful busy weekend with the Green Jobs events. I spoke Saturday night about green jobs and the climate at Life Alive in Lowell. It felt really good to talk about green jobs and their critical role in helping to solve our social, climate, and economic problems. We enjoyed the music and the speakers. On Sunday, I went to the Green Jobs event in Boston, which had been rescheduled from Saturday. I didn't get a chance to speak at that event, but did get involved in some cool stuff like pedaling a bicycle generator so that some great bands and others could play and speak. I picked up a lot of information at both events and saw some familiar faces and made some new connections. It's great sharing thoughts and ideas with others. Props to the organizers and volunteers - they really did wonders pulling off the events despite the inclement weather. They really are a dedicated bunch. Thanks also to Van Jones and Green For All and the sponsors 1Sky, We, and all the other great organizations that helped to make it possible. Ready for next steps! Green on, Tom Thompson
